Newcastle are unlikely to sign transfer target Nemanja Gudelj as the player’s father has become manager of his current club NAC Breda. It’s believed that Newcastle are interested in signing Gudelj after scouts were spotted watching him during NAC Breda’s last game. The 6 ft 1 midfielder has impressed since making his debut in 2010. He worked his way up through NAC Breda’s youth system and has now made 59 appearances for the club. It was believed that the Serbian midfielder would be sold for around a fee of €2m. However Gudelj has revealed that he is likely to stay at NAC Breda following the announcement of his father as the club’s new manager. Speaking to Srpski Futbal, Gudelj said: “The chances that I will stay at Breda are now much higher. My father means a lot to me. He is the most important person in my career. He is the man who made me as a footballer. “Now, as a manager, he can do this on his own and I would like to help him.
