With 2 wins in the last 16 matches, the future for United is looking a bit bleak. Too good for relegation, we’ve heard that one before, team desolate thanks to the injuries and absence of our top players, we told you so didn’t we.
All the old adages and clichés are coming out, we’ve been there heard them all, the fact of the matter is what was on display on Saturday was one of the worst, disjointed performances I’ve ever witnessed, I can put up with a weakened team but what I cannot stomach is the fact there were 11 professional footballers on that pitch in Brighton who did not try, did not talk to each other, could not string 2 passes together and I was actually embarrassed to call myself a Newcastle United fan thanks to their utterly abysmal performance.
What we are facing now is perhaps 3 of the biggest games of the season, away at Norwich in Saturday, at home to Reading the following week….then what could be a massive 6 pointer at Aston Vile on Tuesday 29th Jan.
We are knee deep in the proverbial my friends and I understand the majority of our first team are out and will return, but by then the confidence could have gone, players could’ve gone and as it already seems some of our so called fans have already gone…..
Time to dig deep and perform as if your Premier League lives depended on it, as guess what they do! #HTL
