I think you are right we have a lot of work to do, but at least we are heading in the right direction, the team still needs some time to gel and we need a couple of more players. I think we will improve once we get Barton and Duff back

The Boro did very well and over the ninety, got it together more than we did.
The goal by Zog was a classic. Mido's might just have been offside but a good oppurtunist effort it was. As was Vid's later on.
The end result of 2-2 , I reckon was fair, which would suggest we've a way to go yet. Work to be done.
Note: If I was getting ready to sell the club, what would I be doing sitting there and wearing my toon shirt? Ha!

Entitled to your opinion; I'll stick with mine.
And if 'we' don't pull our socks up, we'll be struggling as well.
Boro had the edgee today. Pity about the injuries.

Cole was always about speed, at 36 he is past it, he has been around the block a few times, I think the prem will be to hard on him. I think Liverpool will do well this year. But Sunderland will struggle although I think they might just avoid the drop.

If I were a manager, mate, he'd certainly get a one year contract; 36 years old or not. It aint the age that matters but the experience it brings to the likes of 'chops'and company.
On the same subject, I watched the Mackems v Liverpool gameand was impressed. Inthe first seconds, I had a feeling they were in for a tonking , then they did what all teams should do against L'pool by getting at them which they did well; I reckon they had old Raz worried...but of course a bit of class will always win the day and it did. Point is; Keano is coaching them into a fair side and full of running. For effort, they play like ten James Milners. So the stage should be set for two crackers when we meet them in the two derbies.
If I've sounded like a mackem, take no notice. Just being objective.

Thats what makes life interesting being a Toon supporter, you never know what will happen.

Yeh, such is life. And further back up the field; an example of what you forecast, Magpie; those sods at'Chelski'have snapped up Belletti at a time when we are not even sure now whether or not we'll get 'Faye'
"At Newcastle United, things don't come easy"!

Just wait till they start scoring goals, they will be linked with Madrid, Barca, and Man Yoooo every hour. We better get used to it.

There will always be these rumors with Owen and Oba, they are two great strikers.

I Hate it when I see that sod Fergie sniffing around ones players. Hopefully though, there's no truth in the stories.
The only concern I have, is that these tales tend to unsettle the player.
He himself may well have expressed allegiance, but his agent could be counting his percentage from thirteen mill.
Roll on the end of the window on the 31st and let's have Oba fixed with that new contract.
I'd luv it-absolutely love it if that bloke and his club get themselves relegated.

Looks like speculation, probably th press making up stories, seems NUFC are always the easy target when it comes to the press telling porkies.

I agree with you on Ashley, Admin, and at any other time,I wouldn't have minded a different owner,ie: somebody less mysterious. And the people mentioned: the Icelanders make out they have long supported the toon which is something I suppose. At the end of the day though, as with all takeovers , the real reason is because of the fan base. fifty odd thousand whether the team's doing well or not'
That'll be why the chinamen are sniffing around as well.
Having said all that, anything that causes disruption right now will be giving Sam many sleepless nights. Let's hope it's just an idle rumour. What say you?

I don't know, Ashley has always made me uneasy, so if we get the right investors in I wont complain. But I also think to much change and upheaval is not good for the club.

Bloody hells bells is all I can say. The mind boggles at all the possibilities and skulduggery in the offing. That is if the rumour be true.
What do you think then lads? Lot of bollocks or what?

Such a suggestion, toonarmy...shows you are certainly not barmy!
I give 'your' effort 7from ten. I'll accept 3 for mine.

Yeah they would be good additions to the club, but to go with all that graft we need a bit of craft. I'm a poet and I didn't know it.

Alas, Magpie123. I have never given Deco a thought. But probably like you lads, I'm hoping we see the Faye and possibly the Belletti deals completed soon.

Magpie: Here! Here!
Admin: What with the wages they all get, they should all have a bit of flair. As for seeing a new NUFC once we have Emre, Duff and Owen fully fit; when will those three ever be fully fit. Hope I turn out to be wrong because I admire your faith.
